Clients sometimes need to adjust a visit that has already moved past the “Requested” status—for example, swapping a time block, adding an addon, or adjusting which pets will be present. Instead of emailing or calling, they can send a Change Request directly from the portal.

What the client does

  1. Open Schedule.

  2. Checkmark one or more upcoming visits.

  3. Click Change.

  4. Edit the date, time block, service, pets, addons, or notes.

  5. Click Save or Request Changes.

A banner reminds them that edits to “Requested” visits apply instantly, while all other changes need your approval.

Important: If the visit starts inside the Block Last Minute Requests window (or it will as a result of the change), they are prevented last minute changes (see Blocking Clients from Requesting Visits).

What you see

  • An email is sent to the Portal Email Address.

  • A notice appears in the Notifications box after you sign in.

  • On Schedule › Master Schedule each affected visit carries a green Change Requested tag plus Approve Change and Decline Change buttons (also available in bulk).

Approve or decline the request

Approve Change

  • Updates the visit with the client’s edits.

  • Removes the Change Requested tag.

  • Immediately alerts the assigned pet sitter(s).

  • Places the visit back in the confirmation-email queue for the client.

Decline Change

  • Restores all original details.

  • Notifies the client that the request was declined.

When editing a single visit you will see each proposed edit listed with its own Approve or Decline toggle before you save.

Additional details

  • Visits still in “Requested” are fully under the client’s control; edits apply right away and never require approval.

  • You may bulk-approve or bulk-decline by selecting several visits, then using the buttons in the top toolbar.

  • Every approval or decline is stamped in the visit’s History tab and recorded in Admin › Activity Log for auditing.

  • Only the pet sitter(s) assigned to the visit receive change notifications; administrators and managers see the updates in Master Schedule and visit history.

Enabling Client Visit Change Requests gives clients welcome flexibility while ensuring you retain final oversight of the schedule.
