Activity Log
The Activity Log is the portal-wide record of activity such as adding or editing records, assignments, cancellations, and deletions. Entries identify the action, date, user, and associated item. Log entries are retained for approximately six months.
Where to find it: Admin › Activity Log (administrators only).
Managers and pet sitters do not have direct access, but they can open a filtered pop-up via History (see below) for items they already have permission to view.
For before/after detail inside client or pet profiles, use the dedicated Profile Change History feature instead (see Profile Change History (Client & Pet Profiles)).
Tip – narrow the view
Use categories such as Access, Content, Communication, and Errors to narrow the type of activity you are reviewing.
Review one staff member’s work: open Staff › Staff Accounts, switch to that account’s Profile view, click the Log tab.
Inspect a single client’s actions: open Admin › Activity Log and search for the email tied to the client’s login.
History (a quick filter on the Activity Log)
History is a shortcut that searches the Activity Log for one item only, sparing you the need to sift through unrelated entries.
Where an item’s Actions menu includes History, select it to view the available recorded activity for that item. This opens a focused history view, not access to the full Activity Log.
Inside an ongoing-series editor there is a History button at the bottom; it isolates changes to that series itself.
(Some visit-level edits appear here rather than under the individual visit.)
Use these views to answer questions like “Who reassigned this visit?” or “When was that client phone number updated?”—without granting full Activity Log access to everyone.
