Accurate GPS data lets you confirm where visits occur, review sitter routes, and answer client questions. This article explains how to pick a tracking mode, who can view maps, and what to do if a route seems incomplete.
Pick a tracking mode
Open Business Settings › Pet Sitters & Journals › GPS Tracking and choose one of these options:
Full-walk with App & Arrival/Completion with Web (default) – The mobile app records the entire route; sitters who use just a browser capture Arrived and Completed pins only.
Arrival/Completion Only – Stores just the Arrived and Completed pins for every visit.
Off Completely – Disables all GPS collection.
Who can view GPS maps?
Administrators and Managers – See every map on the Master Schedule, inside each Pet Care Journal, and on Dashboard › Live Sitter Map (shows each sitter’s most-recent visit).
Sitters – See only their own maps via Map / Live Map on My Schedule and in their Journals.
Clients – See maps on My Schedule and in Journals only if Clients can see GPS Maps is enabled under Business Settings › Clients.
Turning the client setting off hides maps from clients immediately; staff visibility is unaffected.
If a route looks incorrect or no map appears
An obviously incorrect route (or a map that shows only start/end pins) usually means the sitter’s device couldn’t record continuous location data. Share Ensuring Accurate GPS Tracking (Staff App) with the sitter for step-by-step iOS and Android guidance.
With an appropriate mode selected and clear visibility rules, GPS tracking provides a reliable audit trail for every visit.
