Introduction
Service Groups let you organize Base Services under clear headings such as Dog Walking, Boarding, or Grooming. Groups are visible only to Managers; Pet Sitters and Clients never see the group label.
Creating Service Groups
Go to Operations › Service Settings › Service Groups.
Click New Service Group.
Enter a Group Name your team will recognize.
(Optional) Select any Required Client Profile Fields. These fields become mandatory only when a client requests a service in this group.
Click Save.
Tip: Use broad, plain names such as Dog Walking or Pet Sitting. Leave the detail to the individual Base Service.
Assigning Groups to Services
In Operations › Service Settings › Base Services, each service has a Service Group drop‑down. Choose the appropriate group.
Use Bulk Edit to assign or change groups for many services at once.
When a client requests a service, any group‑specific questions (the profile fields you marked required) appear under Additional Information and auto‑save to the client profile.
Practical Uses
Conditional Required Fields – Ask for leash location only when a client books a Dog Walking service; cat owners won’t be required to fill out that field.
Reporting – Filter financial and scheduling reports by Service Group to compare revenue or volume.
Master Schedule Tabs – If schedule tabs are set to Service view, visits display grouped by Service Group.
