Introduction

Precise Petcare can connect to a variety of merchant gateways for credit-card, ACH, PayPal, and Venmo payments. We never add a surcharge—only the processor’s own fees apply. All configuration happens under Billing › Billing Settings › Online Payments.

Gateway overview

  • Integrated – Stripe, PayPal Pro, Authorize.net / eCheck.net, Stax, Paya, Payeezy, QuantumGateway, and Sage Pay keep the client on your portal.

  • Off-site – PayPal Standard / Advanced and Venmo redirect the client to an external page or app.

Details for each gateway appear below.

Off-site gateways

PayPal Standard / Advanced

  • In PayPal Standard (off site) enter either your PayPal account email or PayPal Merchant ID (Merchant ID uses PayPal Checkout pop-up).

  • Clients click Pay Now on the printable invoice and complete payment at PayPal.

  • PayPal Standard is free; Advanced is $5 / month. One invoice, full balance only.

Venmo

  • In Venmo (off site) enter:

    • Venmo Username – displayed to desktop payers.

    • Venmo QR Link – used by mobile payers.

  • A Venmo button appears on invoices; the client types the amount manually.

  • Remember: record the payment afterward (see Manual Check/Cash Payments & Credits).

Integrated gateways

Integrated options add a Make Payment button that opens the in-system Payments page. Clients can pay multiple invoices, make partial payments, and add tips. Log-in is required unless you ask Support to enable guest access (guests cannot store cards).

Stripe

  1. Select Stripe under Integrated Credit Card Processing.

  2. Click Connect with Stripe and sign in (or create) your Stripe account; authorize access.

  3. Stripe handles card storage. Switching away deletes saved cards.

  2. Turn off test mode (KB 000001314).

  3. Choose Authorize.net and enter API Login, Transaction Key, and your accepted card types.

  1. In PayPal, create API Signature credentials (username, password, signature).

  2. Select PayPal Payments Pro and enter the three credentials.

  1. Obtain your Web Payments Token (see Fattmerchant/Stax docs) and API Key.

  2. Choose Stax and enter Web Payments Token, API Key, and accepted cards.

Paya

  1. Locate Merchant ID and M_Key in the “New Merchant Information” email from Paya.

  2. Select Paya and enter Merchant ID, M_Key, and accepted cards.

  2. Select Payeezy and enter all three plus card types.

QuantumGateway

  1. In QuantumGateway generate an API Gateway ID and API Key.

  2. Select QuantumGateway and enter Gateway ID and Key.

Sage Pay

  1. In your Sage Pay admin enable the Server protocol and note Vendor Name and Vendor Password.

  2. Select Sage Pay and enter Vendor Name, Vendor Password, and accepted cards.

Best-practice tips

  • Always test with a small charge after entering new credentials.

  • Automatic discounts and surcharges still apply—the gateway choice does not affect pricing.

  • Guest payments (no log-in) disable card-on-file features; use only if necessary.

  • Switching processors removes stored cards—notify clients before migrating.

  • Venmo payments must be logged manually in Billing › Transactions.
