To do your assigned visits, you will need to have the correct keys to access your clients' homes. Depending on how your company operates, you may need to Request Key, Pickup the key, or Return it in the system. Some companies may have this feature set differently. Here are the possible ways your company may have set this up:


Sitters must Request Keys if needed

  • If you are assigned a visit and do not have a key for that client's home, click the  button within the assignment box for an upcoming visit with the client's pet. A pop-up window will appear on your screen asking if you'd like to request the key for the assignment. Unless you've requested the wrong key and would like to cancel by clicking "Cancel", select "Ok". You will then be returned to your schedule page.
  • Your manager will then schedule a key pickup for you. The Key Pickup Request will appear in the "Notifications" box on your homepage, indicating which key you'll be picking up, when it will be available for pickup, and where it will be located. Clicking the link in the box will take you to the Scheduling > Key Requests page, where you will see a calendar of all your key requests. Active requests will appear in red.
  • When you have picked up the key, return to the Key Requests page and click the  button. Completed key requests will appear on the calendar in gray.
  • In addition to Key Pickup Requests, you may also receive Key Return Requests. These will also appear in the "Notifications" box. The request will again indicate which key needs to be returned, when it needs to by returned, and its return location.
  • Once you have returned the key, go to the Key Requests page and click the  button.
  • To view a list of keys currently in your possession, go to the Petcare > Keys page. There you will see a table of the keys you should have, as well as the dates on which you received them. This will help you to keep track of your keys and make sure you have all the keys you need for upcoming assignments.



Sitters Can Pickup/Return Keys without Requesting them

  • When you need to Pickup or Return Keys, go to Petcare > Keys
  • Select the tab you need. They Keys tab will show keys currently in your possession according to the system. The Office tab shows keys you need, but do not have.
  • In the line for the key you need to Pickup or Return, click the  button and the either Return or Pickup
  • In addition to Key Pickup Requests, you may also receive Key Return Requests. These will also appear in the "Notifications" box. The request will again indicate which key needs to be returned, when it needs to by returned, and its return location.
  • To view a list of keys currently in your possession, go to the Petcare > Keys page. There you will see a table of the keys you should have, as well as the dates on which you received them.
